What we build

Build fundamentals.
Build confidence.
Compete for the team.

  1. Fundamentals

Grip, setup, posture and movement that hold up under pressure. A repeatable motion built around how the player’s body actually moves.

  2. Confidence

Pressure reps, tournament routines and course strategy, so players walk to the first tee knowing what they’re trying to do.

  3. Compete for the team

Lower scores through a sharper short game and smarter course management. No coach can promise a roster spot. We prepare players to earn one.

Who it’s for

Players who want to compete

Competitive golf takes more than a better-looking swing. Players ages 13–18 are developing physically, technically and mentally at the same time, and the coaching follows that.

  • JV players

Working toward varsity and contributing more consistently.

  • Varsity players

Looking to lower scoring averages and become more complete competitors.

  • Junior tournament players

Competing in junior events and working to improve tournament performance.

  • College-minded players

Preparing for the demands of competitive golf beyond high school.

The performance approach

Five parts of a complete player

  1. Technique

A repeatable golf motion based on athletic posture, movement and efficient use of the body.

  2. Scoring

Wedge play, putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play and distance control.

  3. Course management

Target selection, risk management, miss management and smarter decisions under pressure.

  4. Practice

Specific objectives, drills and measurable priorities instead of mindless range balls.

  5. Competition

Tournament routines, performance goals, course strategy, playing lessons and post-round evaluation.

The Colorado season

Get ready before the season starts.

Boys’ golf is a fall sport and girls’ golf is a spring sport, so each player’s off-season is the time to build the skills that show up at tryouts. Lessons are outdoors at Heather Ridge, so winter sessions depend on the weather.

How we measure progress

Questions parents ask

Quick answers

How much do high school golf lessons cost?

A private outdoor session at Heather Ridge Golf Course is $120, and a 9-hole on-course playing lesson is $170. New players start with a High-School Performance Evaluation so Jason can recommend what fits. See all programs and prices.

Where are the lessons held?

All coaching takes place at Heather Ridge Golf Course, a public golf course in Aurora, Colorado. Private sessions use the course's outdoor practice areas, and playing lessons are out on the course.

What ages do you coach?

Players ages 13–18. That includes JV players working toward varsity, varsity players looking to lower their scoring average, junior tournament players and college-minded players.

Can my player train during the winter?

All lessons are currently outdoors at Heather Ridge Golf Course, so winter sessions depend on the weather. Indoor lessons aren't available yet. Join the updates list to hear when new programs are announced.

Can you guarantee my player makes varsity?

No, and no honest coach can. High school coaches make roster decisions. What we do is prepare players to compete for a spot: sound fundamentals, a sharper short game, smarter course management and the confidence to play well when it counts.

How do I get started?

Request a High-School Performance Evaluation. Tell us about your player and what times work, and Jason will follow up to schedule it. Request an evaluation.
